astro-photo-poem by Gabriel Ivanescu

Sunset, by Gabriel Ivanescu

1.

Strange feelings
under the iron caress

of that sunset.

When I was a child,
I thought that
every twilight
meant
a star’s death…

Venus, by Gabriel Ivanescu2.

Venus inviting me
to keep
that corner of world
only for me…

…and I understanding:

every twilight
is a
transcendental laboratory.

Starscape, by Gabriel Ivanescu3.

Then, becoming
an interstellar navigator
and my hopes roving
in the immense labyrinth
of the sky…

My mistake:
the temptation
to speak with Time
about personal favors.

Sunrise, by Gabriel Ivanescu4.

Once in the future
I was on
a different planet.

Only its nature
and some feelings
soothed my solitude,
my need to see again
the home places.

A sunset was
the supreme rescue.
