sky squatter –
unexpected celestial guest
to conjure apocalyptic omens,
an evanescent radiance
of ancient origin shines,
enthralling Egyptian Ali bin Ridwan.

ii. 2006

skeleton cloud –
little more than a faint murmur
to evoke its explosive demise,
an almost imperceptible shell
of glowing hydrogen lingers,
teasing modern astronomers.
