The Boomerang Nebula: at 1K it is the coldest natural place in the known universeTime stands still
As atoms do
At zero on the Kelvin Scale.
While oscillations cease
The universe expands
And we,
Frozen in our place,
The same as we
Have ever been,
The dead still dead,
Our children never born,
This moment on and on.
Alone, we face the future
Motionless,
Immortal deities,
Particles at rest
With only memories
To console our restlessness.
