Hubble Space TelescopeSilver cylinder orbits with mirrored wings.
Starlight collects from a sky perfectly clear.
Compass has a porthole and radiating rings.

A mechanical eye scans earthlings,
Escaping Earth's distorting atmosphere.
Silver cylinder orbits with mirrored wings.

Hubble names nameless things:
On the cornea, capillary clouds appear.
Compass has a porthole and radiating rings.

Eyes open, Hubble sees the beginnings.
Of the primordial sea; not photographed, it will disappear.
Silver cylinder orbits with mirrored wings.

Telephoto lens captures spiraling atomic strings.
Slips of energy billow, leaving an emerald sphere.
Compass has a porthole and radiating rings.

Pupils shrink to pinpoints; gas burns and stings.
Retina Nebula fills the frame with a disembodied tear.
