For you I hope the universe will close—
shut tight like the eyes of a sleeping god:
all matter returned to a single set
to start again. Though I think the cosmos
will go and go. Galaxies float ahead
on the opening waves of space. They drift
apart, never reaching a common shore.

Since two good theories as ourselves have met,
we should attempt to combine within our
time
left.
