Karen A. Romanko's poetry and short stories have appeared in Strange Horizons, Ideomancer, Would That It Were, The Pedestal Magazine, Dreams and Nightmares, and NFG, among others. Her first poetry collection, Raven's Runes: Equations in Time, was released by Sam's Dot Publishing in 2004 and contains the Rhysling-nominated poem "Witch, You Say." She also edits and publishes the specfic and mystery e-zine Raven Electrick.

Robert A. Desharnais is a Professor of Biology at California State University, Los Angeles. He is co-author of the science monograph Chaos in Ecology and developer of the curriculum software suite Biology Labs Online. He and Karen have been married for 27 years.
